Nissan GT-R was released for the first time in Japan during the year 2007, while it was released in United States during 2008. Finally, Nissan released it throughout the global markets in March, 2009.

Initially, the production model of Nissan GT-R launched in 2007 in an auto-expo. Later in the year 2008 Nissan launched its production version of Nissan GT-R, which had hand-built dual clutch-gear box and engine, and currently its production is limited to 1000 units per month.

In 2009, Nismo started collaborating with Giga wave motor sport in order to enter the 2009 FIA GT championship.
The production based Nissan GT-R made its debut in a rally held in Australia in the year 2008. However, the Nissan GT-R racing car encountered a mishap in the event and didn’t complete the race. Later in 2008, the Nissan GT R won the competition in Targa Tasmania.
